Various sounds of a door in an old home being handled, recorded on a tascam dr-05x, some spectral editing and trimming in izotope rx 10 to reduce background sound. Used this file somewhere? please link in the comments - i would love to see!.
Sound design that i made for a video game, layered a bunch of sounds and processed them to create an impactful sci-fi sound. This one is a spaceship door opening.
Another composition of elevator sounds, this time more modern than last. 0,00 - 0,65: button0,65 - 11,50: door close11,50 - 52,90: ride (+ chime at the end)52,90 - 58,55: door open.
Wooden door creaking while being opened and closed. Oil, please. Recorded and performed by students of the animation and video games career from the national school of arts of uruguay, generation 2021, during the sound design workshop. Gear:oktava mk-12zoom h4n.
For some reason, my audio didn't transfer on a video that i was editing, so i had to add it manually. I figured someone could use this sound of me opening my creaky front door, so i cleaned it up in audacity. No need to credit me; have fun creating!.
Opening and closing a wooden roomdoor in differnt ways. Slow and silent or fast and aggressive. In addition to that there are sounds to lock and unlock a roomdoor.
Eng: some cool effects with funny sounds of sliding doors in aldi supermarket. Pl: dźwięk otwieranych i zamykanych drzwi w supermarkecie aldi. Pikanie, dźwięki ulicy.
A wooden door with rusty hinges being opened and closed very, very slowly (and then more quickly later in the recording). Mic is very close to the creaking hinge and the sound is extremely clean and direct.
Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door and aimed slightly off-axis so as to capture more of the natural room sound/reverb. I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed on-axis for a more direct recording (it still has a slight bit of room sound - that was what i wanted for these two recordings). Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).
A short clip of a wooden door opening, first a high pitch creak, then a low pitch as it's movement slows. Recorded at close proximity with a sennheiser 416 microphone, to a sound devices 552, in a residential, fully attached house, with minimal noise and background but natural ambience and reflection, from a large (bed)room.
The sound of a bunch of cars and trucks driving by on a busy street. A door opens periodically nearby. Extremely loopable. (sorry about that, by the way. I had to disguise it with a car-door opening. You can work on that if you want to. ).

Recorded with zoom h1. Recorded opening and closing of old wooden doors in our basement. Sometimes with keychain. Did some noise reduction and light compression. You are allowed to use these for free for non-commercial and commercial uses. You don't need to credit me, but you can if you want. You are not allowed to reupload, distribute or sell these soundeffects.
Recorded while being at the kitchen and thinking: «gosh! all those lousy trays wasting their live with crockery, while they could be the super stars in some game».
The sound of me closing a door in my apartment. Smooth hinges with no creaking. You can hear the springy latching mechanism when it shuts completely. One of 15 takes; there are also 15 takes of opening this same door.
Unlocking the safety frontdoor with keys needs more than one turn. Then closing and locking it again. The second unlock has a pause before the mechanism finally unlocks the door. At the end the door is getting locked from the inside with keys.
Old elevator going up. Closing doors - moving up - opening doors. Ambient noise and door clangs included. Recorded with zoom h6 and slightly processed. 48khz, 24 bit, stereo, wav. Use it anyway you like. Enjoy).
After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.
I opened my door - with tiny bells attached to it - to listen to the storm and moved around the recording device a bit, resulting in a wee bit of whirling psychedelic effects.
The sounds from an old elevator. First going up, the door opening, and it returning back down before the door opens again. This elevator is fairly old (from the 1960s) and is fairly dilapidated. Scary to ride, especially after you hear the sounds it makes.
Multiple sounds combined to created the actions of a car being stolen off the street. Car window broken, door opened and closed, attempt to start engine, engine starting and doing a burnout as it speeds away.
